    big block vs. small block

Which one of these would be more suitable for a daily driver if they had the same amount of horsepower?

Small block, more mpg and if it has the same hp as the big block you have a weight advantage too.

My choice ius the small block. Its lighter so the car handels better and better gas milage but it doesnt have the potetional of a big block engine.

If you want to build it up in the future, choose the big block, but if you want better gas mileage and handling, the small block's advantage is undeniable.

ps. The big block would be much cooler though.

Depends on my mood really...some days I just want a lil ol' Mustang with a massaged 302 motivating it down the road, and others, like today, I want a Chevy Bel Air with a 502 BBC and a 700R4 auto motivating it. Small blocks are more practical, Big blocks more appealing and fun.
