    Who is the Stig?

Put your guesses down here!! If anyone knows for absolute sure and has proof, can you post it aswell!

My guess is Stig Blomqvist! Hes driven for the Skoda Octavia WRC team, and won championships with Saab in the late 70's.. Makes sense, doesn't it?

The "stig" is the racing driver who does all the track tests for Top Gear.
All the fastest times on the cars are those recorded by "the stig".

It used to be Perry McCarthy - successful racing driver in recent times in GT .

I've not even seen any HINTS in any of the other forums on who the new one is, but he's certainly a little faster than Perry was so I suspect it's a "young gun".

No chance it being Blomquvist He's nearly 60 and whilst he was a god and my hero in the 70s and 80s he's competing very little now with Pikes Peak I think his last 'competitive' outing. Turns up for historic and classic rallies occasionaly too

hey, thanks, Coventry, I'd not seen any discussion on the topic for a while.

Collins used to race for Jakcie Stewart in the old F3 days.
He was supposed to be one of our great hopes for F1
Did well in Le Mans, not sure where he's competing now......

It isn't Paffett, he's too busy trying to win the DTM championship.

I have heard from reasonable authority (some guy from Autocar) that it is Ben Collins.

1994 National Formula First Championship: 5th
1995 British Formula Vauxhall Junior Championship: 3rd
1996 Began in Formula Vauxhall Lotus before moving to the British Formula 3 Championship
    1997 British Formula 3 Championship: 8th
    1998 British Formula Three: 11th
1999 Competed in the PPG Dayton Indy Lights Championship with Johansson Motorsports
    2000 Formula 3: 8th
2001 FIA World Sportscar Championship and Le Mans 24 Hour race with Team Ascari
2002 FIA World Sportscar Championship. Team Ascari
2003 Competed for Deuce Racing RML's 'Team TA', becoming the 2003 Days of Thunder Champion.
    Thanks for all the fish

I know who The Stig is. He is Ben Collins. He's been outed.

    Here. Here.

He has raced in Formula 3, NASCAR, Le Mans, and was Daniel Craig's stunt double in Quantum of Solace. So now I wonder, black Stig and white Stig are gone (the two best colours for The Stig) so who colour will the next Stig be?

EDIT: Cov already knew who he was as did many others I bet.

    EDIT 2:
