    Obama Reportcard

What grade would you guys give Obama so far?

Just interested in how you guys think he's doing, and maybe give a reason for your decision.
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

A letter may be inappropriate. He hasn't done anything just as I though he would. In fact almost all the moves he's made are straight out of Reagan's book. Especially his economic plan. Grade, I'm not sure. Word, uninspiring.

    I agree.

And the more I hear him whine about how he inherited the recession the more I dislike him.

I found this article interesting:Obama summons Americans to responsibility - White House- msnbc.com Just a thought, but just how much of "our selfishness" really contribute to America's "recession"? I guess I'm not fully grasping this issue....

PRC777, the fact you don't grasp the issue of how selfishness caused the Recession is proof enough that it did.

    Honestly.

See where the DOW and S&P is in 8-12 months and mid-terms are decided.

Just for the record, Obama and the Senate dems and reps (mostly dems though) seems to be a virus for Wall Street. Did anyone else follow the economic stimulus plan or was I the only one to watch CSPAN religiously?

No, most political tuned people could tell you that he's copying many Reaganish moves. Particularly when it comes to the economy. Appointing both parties to stimulate bipartisan economic cooperation is one example.

I meant on the promotion of capitalism. Obama seems to have done the opposite.

That's just plain common sense !
It's to the detriment of others that their arrogance had them believe only THEY had the answers.

If it were based on historical analysis of economic well-being then I'd have the answers.

Maybe I'll run for a Senate seat.

I think he needs some credit for going after the lobbyists right away and for putting limits on compensation for CEO's whose banks and businesses receive money. Ditto for his opening up to other countries. Give him more time. Bushy boy sure left us in a mess.
