2 Years Today, Possum Bourne R.I.P

A tribute to New Zealands favourite rally driver.

    Everyone still misses you bud

Peggy (His widow) is competing in the race to the sky (I'm pretty sure its this race, some hill climb) in memorium of him. She will be travelling with his old co-driver.

R.I.P., I don't really know him, but have heard of the man. Shockingly similar to an American SCCA driver/co-driver duo of Mark Lovell and Roger Freeman who died in the Oregon Trail Rally about a year ago. They were both from the UK and won the title in 2001 and 2002. (If I'm not mistaken, I stopped attending the SCCA's due to cost/stringent safety precautions)

I have spoken with him before. I loved his driving but I didnt like his personality. Maybe he was under pressure that why he was rude.

The Other driver was considered to have taken most of the blame for the accident.

Both were recce'ing for an upcoming rally, the race to the sky actually, and while Possum was just making observations, the other driver was on partial attack, so he could work out where to go. They hit heavily and fortunately for Possum he was knocked unconcious very quickly.
