There is a series in Argentina called "Turismo Carretera" -something along Road Touring or Road Racing- which is run on race tracks with a co-pilot on board. I guess it is because it was run on actual roads something like 30 years ago and then they would require a navigator. It's also odd that they run 70s chassis (does torino ring a bell?) but they are very technologically advanced and really fast. I'm talking secuential gear boxes, full space frame, and they even recently banned carbon fibre driveshafts because of the their cost.

It must be a hell of a ride...

So the question is, is anyone aware of any other racing series (track based) that requiere (or allow) a "navigator", or is this really a unique proposal in the world?
