Lowndes had a good run but when that wheel ricochet off Richards car, it was over.

He'd already broken the watts linkage before that though which was what really put him in damage control for the race. Maybe he was lucky Yvan Muller was accustomed to the cold temperatures

the wheel came of the 24 car or the 7 car but it wasnt richards car

IIRC Dumbrell and Richards were paired together and Dumbrell was at the wheel at the time.

I'll go for Courtney/Seton

I reckon that and the Richo/Briscoe combo will get alot of the seasoned fans interested.

We used to be able to watch Adelaide and Bathurst on SpeedTV then they switched to DTM now we get neither of those since SpeedTV decided they needed to add more nascar coverage

I'd rate the teams as follows: Lowndes/Whincup (Triple 8) & Skaife/Tander (HRT) 9/10; Bright/Winterbottom (FPR) & Kelly/Kelly (HSV) 8.5/10; Richards/Jones (Tasman), Richards/Dumbrell (Perkins), Courtney/Seton (SBR) & Ingall/Youlden (SBR) 8/10; Murphy/McConville (SCAR) 7.5/10; Richards/Briscoe (HRT) 7/10; Johnson/Davison (DJR), Jones/Bowe (BJR), Wilson/Bargwanna (WPS), Radisich/Coulthard (TKR), Morris/Ellery (PMM) 6.5/10. The others are mostly the second cars. Watch Baird/Besnard (WPS) and Brabham/Halliday (FPR) from this group though - either may spring a surprise top 10 or even top 5 finish.

Otherwise i'd probably have to agree with the ratings, although it really says something if Lowndes/Whincup are still fairly level with Skaife/Tander

My money (literally) is on Lowndes/ Whincup, the 888 cars have had awesome car speed all year, so much so that they have won four rounds from the seven we have had so far. Goin on last years form, Lowndes is definately going to be the man to beat, as far as speed goes, as for his ability to keep his head down without having a moment, like last year goin over the hill (over the crest just after the cutting wasnt it?) then yes, they be the ones. Im not ruling out the Skaife car, because HRT knows exactly what it takes to win there.

I got a feeling with tander hrt might do it again, Don't forget Kelly was sick as a dog last year he was really struggling out there.

You really can't count anybody out - but myself, I'd love to see an SBR car win, particularly with Seton driving with Courtney - but if any Ford wins (and hopefully Murphy will crash into a team-mate on Lap One), I wont complain

BTW - HSVLVR, could you at least try and not sound like a biased fanboy??

all good teams have a chance but i still want ford to will other than SBR i'd like to see DJR win
