in stead of Lotus, at least during the period stipulated. They were World Champion in 1963 and only again in 1967, with Ferrari and two times Brabham interrupting.

The GT40 may have won LeMans several times, but not the World Championship....

Probably the longevity of the period (5 years) makes Ferrari the most dominant team, succeeding 3 years of McLaren domination.

The R8 had very little opposition during its reign.

The 956/962 is more a car in private hands than a works team, although it started its career as the 956 works car of course. The sheer numbers in the field made them invicible. The 911 derivatives have been dominant in GT2 for ages now, so they would fall under same category.

Evo IV, V and VI, the VII wasn't succesful at all as a WRC, only as a Group N/PWRC car.

Not a bad Race Team resume

"To give you some sort of an idea of the work that was put into this Mustang; all the major components of the car were sent away to be crack tested and because of this they went through a total of 84-conrod bolts till they had a set that was Perfect!

This was to be the start of a never to be seen again racing era. Pete and his Mustang were an unstoppable duo, winning him practically everything that could be won with a touring car. His record goes as follows: 1966 Australian Touring Car Champion, New South Wales Touring Car Champion, Victorian Touring Car Champion, Queensland Touring Car Champion, holder of the touring car lap record at every circuit he raced on, the 1966 AJC trophy at Warwick Farm, the 1966 Gold Star Touring Car Series at Lakeside.

And best of all, from a total of 74 starts the car managed 68 outright wins. This remarkable record still stands in the Guinness book of records"

That's what I meant, I just didn't double-check the Roman Numerals/Corresponding Years. With 9 Evolutions it gets confusing after a while.

Surely the utter walloping Ferrari gave everyone at their peak counts for something? Also, of all the teams listed they have been competing in the discipline/era combination that's toughest to truly dominate.

McLaren Can Am followed by Porsche Can Am. They destroyed the series completely with their domination.

Good one there eyebrows.

The Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution Works team should also definetly be up there, at 11 overall wins, more so 6 times in a row since 2000.
