Absolutely right! But too late for me. Curiosity brought me to do the same. Terrible! But on the picture here, it almost looks like a small Wector. Ok, which isn´t exacty a compliment as well...

Back in the 1960s, a young Parisian named Denis Meyrignac got the chance to work on an Alpine A110 chassis courtesy of company founder Jean Redele, which then led to him building this one-off prototype.

Initially, Meyrignac built a 1/5th scale model which he presented to Redele in 1969, however because of several setbacks, the final product only made its debut at the 1977 Geneva Motor Show.

The A110-based prototype is being show off at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and it kind of looks like a mix between a Lamborghini Countach and the amphibious Lotus Esprit from 'The Spy Who Loved Me'.

Thanks to this thing, Meyrignac got a job with Renault's Formula 1 team as a freelancer, before securing a full-time position at French automotive design studio SERA. He went on to work on 35 different cars altogether throughout his career, including some Audis.

As for how his prototype got to be at this latest edition of the Festival of Speed - Renault came across the fact that Meyrignac was actually still in possession of the car, and so they offered to restore it in time to park it on the Cartier Style et Luxe.
