    The best friggin car evAr

1970 something(I'll find out when I get the title or look at the doortag) MG Midget. Maroon, rubber bumpers, 3 spoke steering wheel and the massive 1.5L Triumph Spitfire motor that has seen better days and 4 speed. I'll egg nog it if anyone wants, wont be able to for maybe a day or two due to its location. Nothing special but still pretty cool. Picked it up for $300 from a friend of my boss who is moving away. Found it sitting next to a pole barn with snow piled up the window on the passenger side! The pics make the rust look worse than it is, very little and only one little hole in the floor that I've found.
    Enjoy!

Congrats on your purchase, looks like you've got your work cut out for you. Have fun briging it back to life. Just a question, you call a 1.5 liter engine massive?? What do you call a 7.0 liter engine then???

    There is no frame.

Looks like she needs some work, but nothing that can't be finished.

How are the rockers? Rotted or just surface rust? Did you check the tag inside the door for the date?

    Btw, is the engine seized?

Shut up! The fun of that is to find it for yourself!
Now serious, this cars require some attention, of course. But well mantained and used, this kind of simple cars can be reliable. Rust it the only thing you jave to prevent. And now there are many ways to do that.
The Midget is a very nice little car. Try to do youself all the work you can. That will make you enjoy it even more and will make you more inlove with the car.
Good luck for the work to come.

Wow that looks like quite an undertaking, good to see we have some members more than willing to get their hands dirty for a cause...I'm guessing you have experience with these things since the car will need work so any estimates on cost or time..

First thing you should do after you get it running is take off those ugly ass bumpers.

Mate you have been pre warned!!!! these things, funnily enough, are typical british cars. i am currently working on a late mini and well there are some odd bolt sizes..... like there has been several metric bolts but only very odd shaped ones such as the 9mm bolt i found in the back of the front brake drums!!!!! but have fun, tinker a bit...........ummmm............ok a lot but most importantly have fun
