They couldn't do everything at once, they invested quite a bit of money ($5.5 million to be exact) upgrading the paddocks etc.

They'll probably start working on improving the track surface fairly soon. Montréal doesn't have the financial power to invest, say, $10 million the same year on the CGV.

IMO hamiltons penalty is quite leniant. If Kimi wasnt there he would have been black flagged. Pus he actually benefited by ensuring that his main rival s gap is the same with one race less. And what frustrates me the most is that he said that there was nothing he could do.

Its also about time that the SC rule has to be re-evaluated.

Also consider that not only did Kubica win, he is leading the WDC standings after a third of the season, and furthermore, he;s in a four way tie for most podiums. He has been consistent, quick, and the BMW I can't remember having a single mechanical failure so far.

Nonetheless, it'll take a lot of luck, hard work, improvement in the car, and misfortune on Ferrari and McLaren's part for Kubica to be at the top of the charts after the season comes to an end.

In summary, if Robert Kubica's chances of a title shot don't fit the dark horse criteria, I h ave no idea what would.

Hey if Frentzen can be in the championship fight with a Jordan back in 1999, Kubica's chances is a heck of a lot better......it does not say in the rules that you need to be in a fast car and to win all the races, you just need to have the most points when Brazilian GP is over....

From what i was hearing during the race, its always going to be a problem so long as its run during the Canadian summer.

Then why isn't it a problem it other venues?

Is it because of the snowfall over winter?

Apparently you guys have some pretty cold winters whilst still having moderately warm summes. The track contracts and expands a fair bit as a result.

Yep, temperatures can go down in the -40's with wind chill factor in January/February and up to 35C in July.

Not only the CGV suffers as a result, all the roads in the province are terrible.

thats why I say rich backers, because you need to basically redo the place comes spring....

It is difficult though as like Albert Park the place is open to public for the rest of the year....
