    Hey Everyone, I still exist

Just figured I would check in and let everyone know what happened to me.

I have had a whirlwind of a last 6 months. In the fall I buried myself in schoolwork and finished up my Master's Thesis. I also supplemented it with another 24 Hours of LeMons race, the west coast season closer at Buttonwillow (awesome track btw).

I graduated in December, and just now moved to Rhode Island. I am here for the rest of this year, and was supposed to move to Japan following that. But things have changed. My wife and I found out last week that we are expecting. Triplets. And if you are a FB friend with me, it is off limits there, still not for full public consumption.

So everything in the world is changing. The G is up for sale, or will be soon, and we are seriously shopping for minivans (ick) for the wife, and an Armada or QX56 for me. I have begged some orders to San Diego in place of Japan, and I'll find out soon, but it is looking pretty certain that we won't be headed overseas.

So no R34 GTR for me, no super awesome sushi, but totally worth it in the long run. And with that, welcome me back to UCP.

    Congrats!
Though it's kinda sad to see your car choice forcibly made sensible.

Well, pretty much everything everyone has already said.

    Congratulations indeed Brendon!

I was suggesting the C-Max for that reason.

I do not like SUVs, but if you are going to have 3 kids, a wife, and a dog, and all the things associated with these creatures, then maybe it makes sense.

It would be nice if your wife could have a van (Mazda 3?), and you some sort of sportish wagon. CTS Wagon, anyone?

C-Max is a good idea, Mazda 5 isn't bad either.

    A Mazda 3 isn't a van. It's just a normal family hatchback.

Estate cars are good. Legacy, for instance.

Welcome back, and congrats with all your achievements, what an impressive way to start a family.
So what is the Navy having in store for you next? Something on the West Coast again hopefully? You can't miss Concorso, can you?

    I coulda sworn I hit the 5.

I think vans are better than SUVs. A wagon is better than a van though.

The deal is with three kids though you are going to want a lot of room, so maybe a wagon is outta the picture.

Congrats! California is a MUCH better place - cheaper rents and more affordable sushi.

Now take the money and invest it towards a Subaru Outback 2.5XT. Too bad they look like ass. I'm sure you can find a good non-outback, old-shape wagon with a 'stick.
