The title of this thread lies! This is round two

I'll tip Tander for the win, followed by Courtney or Lowndes.

    Shhhh!!

    All fixed now at least.

I wouldnt be surprised if Tander wins, those HSV cars are definately fast, although in qualifying Tander had a bigger gap over Rick, than Rick had over Lowndes.

WTF happened to Courtney in the pits?!

And why haven't the commentators picked up what happened? They are useless.

I missed it. The coverage almost has me asleep at times.

I thought the beginning was funny when Matt White said "The revs rise!" too early.

Yeah that had me too. As a commentator, White is a real drama queen. It only takes a slightly wrinkled mudguard or door mirror knocked off and its like "THERE'S MASSIVE DAMAGE!!" being yelled at you through the TV speakers

One disturbing aspect to Channel 7s coverage was that ugly reminder of their old race telecast ways, via the inclusion of 'non-core celebrity'. Anyone who remembers 7s old telecasts (especially Bathurst) will view with dread their quick return to form, via interrupting a motor race show with inane interviews of completely unrelated (to motorsport) athletic stars or actors or TV show hosts and yes, even descending to the dreaded politician

When interviewed the inevitable question was: "what do you know about motor racing" to which they would ALWAYS reply "I don't know the first thing about it but it looks like fun & I'm having a lovely time here, thank you" .. I mean FFS who gives a damn?

Meanwhile you could hear but not see the race (you were hoping to follow) going on in the background, off screen. I really used to detest Channel 7 for that and no I couldn't give a rats arse what ball-chaser Federer (or whoever it was) has to say about MY sport

Channel 10 had that too unfortunately, although the most recent instance i can recall was when they talked to Shannon Noll at Eastern Creek, i think 2004. He predicted Holden would win the round, on a weekend where Ambrose only needed to finish the Saturday race (but won it) to win his 2nd championship, and continued to dominate on Sunday.

Nothing like hearing an expert view eh?

IIRC one year Channel 7 interrupted an absolutely thrilling Bathurst dice .. to interview some ditzy female swimming star!

You could hear the crowd roar, but nothing else. It was the leaders too, a crucial move that ended up deciding the race. Unforgivable. When their race coverage eventually resumed they didn't even bother to replay it - geez I was pissed (along with every other enthusiast)

They once had politician John Hewson relate his GST tax policy mid-race
