    14 stages, from 2009-01-03 to 2009-01-17, Buenos Aires to Valparaiso to Buenos Aires. The total racing distance is more than 9,578 kilometres (5,951 mi), of which 5,652 kilometres (3,512 mi) is timed special stage. There will be a rest day in Valparaíso, Chile on 10 January.

    i've been watching bits of this on tv whenever it comes up. really like the scenery and stuff - when the vehicles crest one of those huge sand dunes and drop into the flat plain, great view.
