i can remember a pic posted by faksta in the requests threads where there was a Range Rover with a sticker on the side, saying "prototype" or something similar. btw, in an old episode of top gear they used one of those in a race against a skater...and it was a defender, but with a tvr engine, if i remember right. then, on their website, Bowler Offroad Ltd, there is written "supported by land rover" so i guess they are built around a range chassis.Originally Posted by Ferrer

i don't know the regulation for the dakar race, but in al the rallies as the wrc, the cars have a regular plate for the trips from a stage to the others, so i guess this is or could be converted to road-legal specifications. not a bad thing, if you live on a mountain without roads...
