    The Quest for Beer

I dont know if any has ever tried a wonderful beer with the name Desparado. It is a corona style beer with a tequila kick (6% if i remember correctly !!!). i was wondering if anyone in the england knows of a retailer or shop that provides one of the best beers???

I know you can get them with a the help of a booze cruise to france but i was just wondering if there was anywhere in england that sold them??

    cheers

If i lived in England I'd probably spend a lot of time in France. You could just go to France for a weekend and just load up your car with it on the way back.

Seconded. I really don't see the appeal in that stuff...

Corona is beer for people who don't like beer.

Corona is the lolly water of beer. Great for wetting your whistle on a hot day though.

It could be worse, like a Fosters or some crap like that...

*runs and hides from the Aussies!!*

    JK! I love Fosters, don't ban/kill me.

But seriously now... it could be worse, like a damn Miller High Life, what a low piece of cheap crap.

No Aussie's like Fosters, nor do we drink it. In fact, you have to look pretty hard to even find it in bottle-o's.

Do you guys drink international stuff or some other Australian brands?

In Venezuela people mostly drink Venezuelan / Brazilian beer.

Mostly Aussie brands (which are mostly the various beers made by CUB or Tooheys.) though imports are getting more popular (but most of those are brewed here anyway).

Agreed, I spent three months in Melbourne and I was only slightly surprised to find that Fosters was hard to find - only slightly, because I didn't think it was very good either. VB and MB were pretty good for being relatively cheap, we mostly drank those or Tooheys.

Back home, however, I've got plenty of friends named Samuel to choose from.

    Those two are mutually exclusive.
