    FORMULA-ONE - F1: Critics Question Integrity Of Possible Alonso Title - SPEEDtv.com

Interesting rant....but it would also be the first time that I can remember in recent years that Team Order actually mattered in the end....

Personally I never believed it should've been outlawed. There are too much money at stake to not try to do everything within a team's power to engineer a championship...

And RBR is just looking for excuse to screw Webber in the end...

Let's hope Alonso becomes WC with seven points advantage. The winter will be filled with discussion.....

    Courtesy of the BBC:

    FIVE-WAY TITLE BATTLE EXPLAINED
    1 ALONSO 231pts
    2 WEBBER 220pts
    3 HAMILTON 210pts
    4 VETTEL 206pts
    5 BUTTON 189pts
    - If Alonso wins in Brazil, he will be champion unless Webber is higher than fourth.
    - If Alonso is second, he will be champion unless Webber is higher than eighth, Hamilton higher than fourth or Vettel wins.
    - If Alonso is third, he will be champion unless Webber finishes in the top 10, Hamilton in the top four and Vettel in the top three.
    - If Alonso does not finish on the podium, it will go to Abu Dhabi.
    - Button can only stay in contention if he finishes first or second but is out if Alonso finishes in the top six or if Webber is in the top two.
    - Vettel must beat Alonso on track to stay in contention.

I think the teams would gladly pay any €100,000 fine if it meant they could take the title. I expect it get downright violent.

Felipe Massa 'could be jailed' if he lets Fernando Alonso past in Brazil, warns prosecutor

    http://news.uk.msn.com/world/article...ntid=155175099

"he has been told that such a move could have serious repercussions. Paulo Castilho, a prosecutor in Brazil's Special Criminal Court, announced that Massa "will have to leave Interlagos in handcuffs" if he lets his fans down by getting out of Alonso's way, citing a special statute which protects the rights of fans to expect to see honest competition."

Oh man, I hope Massa gets in front of Alonso... and stays there.

A Massa win would be manna for Brazilians, and help Alonso secure the title by taking top points away from the contenders.
Wishful thinking for many, but I doubt that scenario without divine intervention.

to have both the Brazilian and the Italian anthem on the podium, is musicwise the best option.

Hulkenberg on pole.....nothing quite like weather to throw a wrench in the title contenders' best laid plan....

Should be an interesting race tomorrow.

When I kept seeing Schumacher get in top spots quite a few time during Q3, I was really hoping he'd make pole. That would have been a truly great thing for him to accomplish. Then he quit for unknown reasons. This was his day, their is no doubt in my mind he could have made pole if he kept at it.

Then Niko Hulkenberg has a had a great day as well. This is the first Williams pole in over 100 races, thats 5-6 years of racing. And then hes a truly young plaer, with good talent to make pole in the wet.

Tomorrow will be a good race.

And by what a margin. I guess he was on a wet setup whereas the others opted for dry.

It is nevertheless hugely impressive and long overdue for one of the sport's greatest teams. Put a big smile on my face!

TBH I was hoping for just about any of the "oddball" teams to pull a fast one on the lead teams(meaning Ferrari, RBR, or McLaren). I guess RBR in the end was able to finally get their dry tire working. Webber was struggling for a while and only til his last lap that he was able to go faster than even Schumacher's intermediate lap(which held 3rd for quite a while even after the switch to inter....). It was nice to see Hulkenberg did it though, since we know how much in danger he is at losing his ride next year...

moral boost for Williams! (although i think Hulkenberg is already out for next year - hes a test driver so ive read)

& i cant believe they would be so petty as to threaten jail for team orders

+1... what a wonderful thing, seeing Williams #2 on pole by 1 second! Here's to the Hulk making his car WIDE for many laps tommorrow.

Thought Shumi was ready to roll out on slicks at the last minute... would like to know why he didn't. Opportunity lost, or discarded?
