young boys out there should read a book on the 250GT and try to understand from where the Breadvan originates. This unique car is entitled to more respect than now being given.

Well, tell us then what the purpose of that shape was.

this shape was designed during a period where knowledge of aerodynamics was very limited. Now that everybody knows about downforce etc. all cars look remarkably similar. There is unfortunately no more opportunity for intuitial experimenting. The last real breadvan was probably the Volvo V70, as used in the BTTC. The front part of the Ferrari breadvan was also used in other Drogo bodied 250GT's, the rear side is truly unique, whether you like it or not. The car had no chance against the real GTO's thoug. My point was that when judging about shapes etc. try to imagine yourself in the same area (in this case over 40 years ago) as the car was presented. Judging with hindsight is sooo easy.

andrew is right, it is not a GTO, and to motorhead, very few were built, which makes it logical that few were sold. If you want to know more about it just start reading the book I already mentioned.
