Pontiac Solstice GXP vs. Porsche Boxster vs. Audi TT

I recently got a ride in a brand new black on black Pontiac Solstice. I love the look of the car, and the sound of the engine, but I have to admit, power is TERRIBLE. To get to 60 took like 8 seconds, and once my driver was going 120, the cars engine started to hiss. He said that the shifter was nice though, with a very precise six-er.

About a 2 years ago too, I got a ride in a Porsche Boxster, and I can't really remember much, but I can tell you the ride was kinda harsh, and it was really quick. It felt almost like a mini 360 Spider in the way it pushed you into the bolsters of the seat, and was very quick. I especially loved how the tires squealed for traction when going up steep hills.

And in the summer, I got a ride in a 2001 Audi TT Quattro Coupe, and it was unbelievable. The car felt precise, and it handled with such precision. The interior was of really high quality, and the acceleration was amazing for an AWD car.

Although I don't know what the Solstice GXP will feel like, I can tell you that it will have 250hp, so I think it's a fair competitor.

Now it's up to you to decide... American Miata, or German Ingenuity.

Porsche because its a proper sports car (MR, RWD, and circa 280BHP)... Never liked Pontiacs... And the TT isnt, in my opinion, a sports car...

Sat in a Boxster S...oh my god it sounds soooo amazing (had the optional sport exhaust). Plus it was very quick, just watching the digital speedometer, it gets to 60 and above very quickly!!

    Definitely Boxster for me.

Porsche Boxster, TT is too old, and the Solstice is technically not as good as the Europs

The Porsche is in a different league all together compared to the other two.

The TT is just a Golf IV in drag and Solstice might be good, but isn't going to be up to Boxster standards.
    Thanks for all the fish

The Porsche no doubt, it's quick, great handling and well...it's a Porsche people. Next the Solstice, not as good a the Boxter obviously but I've never liked the TT, it's just ugly.

Porsche Boxster, because it's the best of these 3 cars, and it's a Porsche

    EVO judgement on the Solstice:

Pro: To see it is to love it
Con: To drive it is to hate it

"Start the Solstice's 2.4 litre 177 BHP four and you'd be forgiven for thinking that somebody had sneaked a cement mixer under the bonnet" and there many more severe criticisms. EVO rating: 2 stars..
