Oddly enough I think the opposite, Ferrari is a racer, all his work are driven by performance, and aero is the primary concern these days...

your probablly right , he did preside over the development of the F40 afterall - the most boyracer ferrari ever! . & this 458 very much has elements of the Enzo in it , which he you culd imagine him approving of also

quintessential ferrari to me is the 288 GTO

The headlights are a bad combination of 996 and Lamborghini.

This is a great and beautiful car. Nice lines and nice muscular cuts all over. Well done, Ferrari.

The more I see the car, the more I am reminded how poor I am. One day, I shall be free to own one of these modern day beasts of burden (Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLarens FI, etc)

I always thought a McLaren F1 was a bit over every sort of modern Ferrari and Lamborghini, price wise that is.

I agree, one of the goals in my life is to own a Ferrari.

Oh, has anyone heard the glorious and insane sound of the Aston Martin DBS??? It is awesome. There is this guy close to where I work, who drives around with an Aston Martin DBS with straight pipes. It is really really loud even at 25 - 35 miles per hour. It actually growls---a true enthusiasts GT car. How this guy gets away without tickets for such loud noise, this is if he has not gotten one yet, would be nice to know.

My catback exhaust on my g-35 seems like a silent Honda civic compared to the exhaust of the Aston Martin DBS.

Depends. The neon srt-4, and for all I know the caliber, too, didn't have mufflers and it sounds reasonable. I heard an RX-7 without them and aside from sounding like a weedeater it was fine. A 426 hemi is a little extreme for no mufflers, but some cars can pass it off.

Inconsiderate in the extreme on the street was me driving my headerless RSX from my mechanic shop to the exhaust store. It vibrated and sounded like driving a four-wheeled chainsaw on freaking steroids. I couldn't even hear myself think! nor could the people around me.
