It's a bit bland, but it's alright I guess. The sedan looks better than the wagon version.

The new Legacy I think looks great. Lightly refreshed. I'm scared for the next generation though, because it looks great as is.

I'm a long-time Subaru owner (different Impreza's over the past 10+ years), so naturally I was interested in getting a better look at this horrific-looking successor. After an hour of driving around (2008 WRX sedan), I'm convinced that the Camry has a new competitor. Anything that may remind you of the old Impreza is gone. Technically, it's a "better" car: smoother, easier to drive, more comfortable, etc.. The problem lies in that there is exactly no character to the car. That and the fact that it doesn't handle *nearly* as well as any other Impreza in my memory.

It will do two things: alienate current fans, and not attract new owners (after all, why bother with an unknown when Honda & Toyota have been doing it better for 20 years?).

I don't think its that compared to the last couple but seriously, Subaru makes some real good looking cars then some really nasty ones and I dont get it. They need to get some new stylists or something. It will be a good car because most Subies are, but it looks too much like a Kia.

Yeah, its strange. It's usually a hit and miss most of the time.

The hatch is a bit bland and generic, however that WRC concept looks very hot. Still, it's not too bad overall, I'd drive it.
i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.

WTF are half of you on about? nothing to do with the impreza name plate?

honestly wtf. its AWD, Boxer engined, has the subaru badge, WTF is not simmilar? its faster, lighter and bigger than the previous one. whats not to like?

Being in love with subaru's is one thing that i am, being blind to short commings is not. loss of character? perhaps its just changed much?

Why would they be selling old versions of the STI?

    Looks pretty cool, either way.

GB270 is still for sale due to the remaining stock. All 100 wagons have been sold, but 300 saloons have not. We are down the the last few though I think.

We still have a 2007 STi with demonstrator miles going for around 24k ! Just keep trying to shift stock for the new stuff!

Oh, and GB270 was based on a WRX and not an STi (unfortunately).

    Oh, I see.

Are you starting a new thread in the hideout for the new STI and the GB270?
