The Mazda6 hatch with V6 and manual was way up on my list for a while. I don't like the so-so mileage of the V6 but otherwise it was a good car. Decent handling and decent power (not awesome in either category). Nice enough on the inside and had the sedan profile that most hatches don't have. It's also quite a bit bigger than most of the smaller hatches we get in the US.
