    are you sure?

By the early 50's, wooden wagon bodies had disappeared and were replaced by the more practical all-steel body. Although Chevrolet had introduced the first all-steel station wagon body in 1935 (the first Suburban),

the date I was using was for the prototype or something like that i think. Got it from some site. But I guess I should be more obvious in my question. The body style and things like that can change, all that has to remain the same is the name, but it has to be produced by the same company for the whole period of time. As long as its like little upgrades frm time to time, like with each corvette you get better technology and whatnot. But please people if you posta car try and find out how long its been produced.

However somebody mentioned the Land Rover Defender, and in that case the Wrangler is still consistently showing in every aspect that it is WWII Technology.

isnt the wrangler a jeep not a land rover
Cedric - I sound like a chipmunk on there. Some friends of mine were like, "were you going through puberty?" I was like, no I was already 20, I just sound like a girl.

I never said it was a land rover, the land rover reminded me of the wrangler, which is basically still a Jeep.

The Wrangler is the American Mini Cooper. Started with 'humble' roots, made several brand changes, was/is a brute, down to basics performer, and still remains iconic.

In the 90s they stopped production in Mexico but for a year or so, but then restarted it until the 30th July 2003. Oh mighty google source of endless joy... God only knows how that car lasted so long in production. My mom had one and I wouldn't have one for the world. It drifted sweetly... but that's another story...

    Hindustan Ambassador

The longest produced car without any interruption is without a doubt the
Hindustan Ambassador in India. Based on a 1948 Morris Oxford, the 2006
models are based on the same body and running gear, but with Isuzu engines.
The Morgan is in there also, but was not produced during WW II.
Close up there is the LADA based on a 60's FIAT design. The VW Beetle
and its related kombi/bus models were made in Mexico until a year or so
ago. In Brazil the 60's VW bus is still made...Another thought...the Land
Rover Defender is based on the 1948 Land Rover, but with much modern
    equipane nowadays..

    Nissan Skyline
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
