    'Die sportlichsten Autos 2004'

    Die sportlichsten Autos 2004

Every year the German car magazine "Sport Auto" holds a kind of
"public-opinion poll" about the sportiest car of any defined category.
Every reader (i'm not sure if there was a way to give a vote through the i-net.)
can give two votes in every category.
I remember reading that this time there were about 350.000 participants.
Here are the results of a 3 month enduring survey.

The two superior categories are the stock cars (Serienautos) and the tuning cars (Tuningautos).
The secondarily categories are separated by cartype (roadster, coupes, sedans) and by price range.
There were only cars listed that are actualy still on sale!
(Enzo won his category in 2002)

I didn't translate all the single terms so i hope you will get along with those few german words.
(ger. "bis" = engl. "up to"; ger. "über" = engl. "more than" )

obviously the F430 came too late to be considered. Surprise win of the Civic R over the Audi.

I suppose the F430 would have won over the Gallardo but.... who knows.

I voted for the Audi A3 3.2. Quattro and in 2nd place for the Honda Civic Type-R.

Yeah that was my first question too!
If you talk about real supercars, then the CCR should at least beat the Vanquish S and the SLR.
I'd even put the CCR on #2. I wondered why the Zonda isn't even in the List.
Maybe that's because most of the people who voted just don't know Koenigsegg or Pagani...

As i mentioned in my first post the Enzo won the year it was introduced but since
you can't buy it anymore it's not listed in the survey.
