    Woodworkers?

Anyone else like woodworking? Post pictures of what you've built.

Your mother works wood pretty well. That's word on the street anyway.

My uncle is really into working on his house, so he's built a few picnic tables, and some other stuff. The table is modular; it has a 3' square that's expandable to about 8' for when they have parties. He also built the benches that go with it.

    No pics, sorry.

In the days I did quite a lot of woodwork. Birds houses, benches etcetera. My granddad loved to teach me those kind of things when I was about 5-12. Later he learned me steel work like welding, lathe work etcetera and sheet metal work. Soon my dad and I will build a 2 car car port out of wood and steel plates.

I think after i build a few tables for my dad's office and a desk for his secretary I'm going to do this, very little wood work, just alot of refining, sanding, shaping and finishing.

Maybe use the top and bottom they give you as a template and buy some Brazilian rosewood and make my own top/bottom.

I used to make a lot of stuff in my dad's woodworking shop. I made a chest w/ drawers to bring to summer camp that fit under the beds. Construction wise, we've built a playhouse/shed, a raised floor for a tent garage, then the addition on the side of my house.

I've done general carpentry and high-end finishing for about 6 years. I'll see if I can dig up some photos at some point; most of it is just residential stuff.
