its weight is very low, but the HP are "low" too
It's the Elise SC, so it has the 218bhp supercharged engine.

Apparently it was slower than the 190bhp normally aspirated Elise they had in 2006.

really weird. do you know by how much it was slower?
I suppose it can't be slower since the more power and probably a revised set-up, and I never read a bad review about the SC IIRC, but probably the high revving normally aspirated engine, with its total lack of power at medium rpm, required a more focused drive, while with the SC they thought they had more torque to use and probably didn't exploit the car as with the R.
    just a guestimation.

The SC was almost 7"5 seconds slower than the R.

Apparently it had narrower and harder tires than the R and they had problems with the gearbox as well.

Yeah lol, i drove an R about a year ago and one of the things i kept from the drive was how confortable it was, the seat was nice, the driving position perfect, nice clutch, nothing like i was expecting, also i don't know the specs of that particular R, it could have the touring supension.

    Interesting.

It must be pretty hard to get in and out, and to see out, though.

In and out is easy but only without the top, i never tried it with the top on, wich i belive would be very different. As for vision, it was good, you can look all around like in any other car.

You must be joking. If you find the Elise a comfy car, I can't imagine what on earth you think a Rolls Royce is like. A moving Four Seasons?

I have. The Elise is anything but comfy. I've seen people just looking at the interior of the Elise thinking the same. I'll agree it's not as bad as it looks, but considering some of the roads in Dallas are full of holes & a few still unfinished after 3 years of work, the Elise is def. not something I would drive everyday.
