Whatever happened to the Mclaren F1 GT?

Apparently there are currently 2 Mclaren F1 GTs that still exist. 3 were built in total but one was destroyed for crash testing then completley stripped and used as spares.

What I would like to know is what happened to these 2 survivors. I remember there being one at the old Mclaren HQ kept under wraps in a corner. But I presume this has been moved now .. or sold. If anyone has any pics of the F1 GT or any infomation of their whereabouts then Id appreciate it. It has sentimental value

But that doesnt say what happened to it .. and those pictures are the press pictures. There are only 2 other pictures that I can find of it; the front and rear beside a Mclaren lorry.

Pictures of the McLaren F1 GT, AKA a road going F1 GTR Longtail, are rare and uneasy to come by.

Press shots are nearly all gone, and there are only about7-9 famous pics.

However, I found 2 pics I'd never seen before on Google last night.

This seems to be a red one.

The red seems to show that there was a red one made. Notice there's no spoiler in the back.

There is a warehouse in Woking somewhere in which McLaren keep their collection.

I have seen pics of a black one out and about, so the other is probably under wraps in McLaren's secret stash.

Voila! The red one is the 2nd one .. the first one might still be in Woking. That red one is the one that was auctioned ages ago .. someone said it may have been resprayed rouge but I didnt take their word for it at the time. Definatley the GT #2 though and not a converted race car because the roof scoop raises from the roof slightly and it doesnt have a spoiler. Its nice to see it hasnt been destroyed somehow. Not so nice to see that its in obscurity. I think that picture must've been taken at an official gathering or something because I was under the impression that no LMs have been sold to the public .. the car on the right is the LM. Well where ever that picture was taken, Id pay alot of money to be there. BTW .. If I ever become very rich .. the GT is mine for a fair amount of money .. Im sure I could break a deal with Mclaren for their GT #1 Thank you very much F1 Master, that sheds some light. Anymore Info would be great people .. I have to see this car before I meet my maker

EDIT! Just got off the phone from someone who has been to the old Mclaren Factory many times .. good news. The GT they crashed was an under-developed prototype that wasnt counted as a vehicle. This means there are still 3 GTs!!!

#56 Mclaren F1 GT Prototype in Silverstone Green
#54 Mclaren F1 GT Press car in Black
#58 Mclaren F1 GT Customer car that came standard in Dark Burgundy

Well we've located the Customer car and Prototype .. wheres the press car? The person I was on the phone to said that theres a little chance that it may have been dismantled to provide parts for the 64 Road Cars. Im hoping this is not so .. but this is what happened to the XP3 Prototypes apart from one yellow one.

I know where the Green one is .. or was. It was covered over at their old HQ. Heres some pics.

Infact .. this link may be useful for anyone sourcing any Mclarens .. they even have some you might not know ever existed such as the West one. Heres the link .. http://www.tvrfreak.com/Albums/Trips...en/page_01.htm

And if anyones interested .. K8 MCL is Gordon Murrays own car.

Dont think so .. its by appointment. Normally your only allowed a tour if you are a friend of a worker, press or buyer.
