Sigma Prototype

Found this while mulling around on the Ferrari Media site... obviously a Pininfarina design with a Ferrari F1 engine. This concept/prototype hails from 1969...

EDIT: Perhaps a 1967 Ferrari 312 F1 car engine? That's what it looks like to me anyway...

Remember the cartoon Speed Racer? He used the Mach 5 AND a formula type race car sometimes. It reminds me of that formula car

the basic purpose of the concept was to demonstrate features that could make an F1 car more safe. Aerodynamics had nothing to do with it.
