I'd love to get my hands on a 2000 GSX but I'd say they're rather scant these days

First picture, Laurel 1800 Deluxe B C30

This is the first-generation model which debuted in April 1968. This car was developed to fill the gap between the Bluebird and the Cedric. The same suspension system as the Bluebird (front = strut, rear = semi trailing-arm) was adopted, along with the G18 engine, based on G15 that had been originally developed by Prince Motor. A 2-door hardtop version was added to the lineup two years later.

The second-generation Laurel (C130) was launched in April 1972. The sophisticated styling proved very popular. Starting with this model, the Laurel had a 2-liter L20 engine instead of G18 and G20; in October 1973, the 2.6 liter (L26) version was also included in the lineup. The SGX (L20 only) boasted a high output of 130PS (regular gasoline engine was 125PS) with its SU twin-carb engine.

The design concept of the third-generation Laurel (C230), launched in January 1977, focused on safety, low emissions, and low consumption. Its distinguishing feature was its styling, with its well-rounded bodylines and large central grille. A new 4-door hardtop version was also introduced. The C231, launched in November 1980, conformed to 1978 exhaust emission regulations.

The development concept of the C32, the fifth-generation model launched in October 1984, was that of a "luxurious personal saloon which pampers the senses". Starting with the world’s first electric, colored door mirrors (auto reflex), it featured a wealth of advanced technology, such as Japan’s first headlight levelizer and swing-up tilt steering wheel with memory function.

The first-generation Laurel (C30), launched in April 1968, opened up a new, so called "high owner car", luxury personal car segment within the Japanese small-car market. Two years later, in June 1970, a stylish 2-door hardtop series was added to the lineup. The 2000GX is the top-grade model, equipped with a twin-carb G20 engine (4-cylinder in line OHC, crossflow combustion chamber).

The first-generation Laurel, the C30, was launched in April 1968. Following two full model changes in April 1972 and January 1977, the fourth-generation model, the C31, was launched on November 5, 1980.

The C31 was distinguished by its simple and clean styling. Its slanted nose and low hood gave the C31 superior aerodynamics (Cd: 0.38). It was the first Laurel to be equipped with a turbocharger and Engine Central Control System (ECCS), and it also offered several features to improve cabin comfort: an improved suspension, a roomier interior, auto-levelizer (a device to maintain vehicle height automatically), Japan’s first automatic seat-setter with a seat lifter that can adjust steplessly, computer-controlled automatic air conditioner, and high-quality audio system.

Eight engines were available: the 4-cylinder Z18 and Z20; the 6-cylinder L20, L20E, L20ET and L28E; and the diesel LD20 and LD28. Also, the wide range of basic model types included 38 sedans and 20 hardtops. Top of the line was the Medalist, powered by either a 2,000cc or 2,800cc gasoline engine and equipped with an auto-levelizer, computer-controlled automatic air conditioner, high-quality audio system, and ASCD (Automatic Speed Control Device) as standard.

Laurel RB20 Medalist KHJC33

The first-generation Laurel, the C30, was launched as Japan’s first 1,800cc car in April 1968. The Laurel achieved its status as a pure "owner’s car", a personal passenger car that was not to be made available in taxi or van versions.

The C33 (sixth-generation) Laurel, which was launched on the December 16, 1988, was designed as a high-quality 4-door salon that would appeal to a mature taste.

Its distinctive styling combined strong flat surfaces with generous curves in a mature form, while a bold-looking front-mask and character lines running down the sides created an impression of refinement. With ingenious use of curved surfaces and high-quality materials, the designers created an even more pleasing cabin interior.

A choice of 6-cylinder in-line engines was available. Nissan’s own advanced technologies were used to good effect, as demonstrated by the DUET-EA (engine-transmission integrated control) system to ensure smooth acceleration, the multi-link rear suspension to provide both improved control and greater ride comfort, and the HICAS-II, a 4-wheel steering system for greater driving versatility.

Also, the new "Club L" and the "Club S" versions of the top-of-the-line Medalist model were equipped with an 8-way driver’s power seat, genuine leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and genuine wood-grained instrument cluster as standard.

Love this car. Still get used as Taxi's sometimes here, they're pretty indestructible. Same reason they're popular with the drifters.
