Chassis:
Built in 1930, this Type 46 was clothed by Clichy, France based coach-builder Gaston Grummer. The little-known company created a very elegant 'Faux Cabriolet' body. Soon after it was shown at the Nice Concours d'Elegance, where it was awarded the 'Trophee International de l'Elegance Feminine'. In the following years, it passed through various hands until it was sold to the United States in 1955. The family of the current owner acquired the car in a rather derelict condition in the late 1960s. They spent many years researching the exact origins and original configuration of chassis 46405. The chassis was restored first and shown at select events. Once the history was completely uncovered, the body was also restored and reunited with the chassis. It made its post-restoration debut at 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
