While running the ex-Joe Leonard Indy 500 pole-winning Lotus 56, Parnelli Jones amassed a considerable number of spare components. Following the restoration of this car to its original guise a large number of spares were still available. These were put into good use by creating a second car with the serial 56/1 RE. This car was sold eventually sold by Jones and is today part of an impressive collection that also includes one of the turbine-engined Howmets. It is in full running order and is regularly shown at events like the Amelia Island Concours d'elegance.
