Chassis:
Ayrton Senna raced this chassis during the second half of the hugely successful 1988 season. Scoring four victories in a row, in the British, German, Hungarian and Belgian Grands Prix, this is the winningest of the six MP4/4s built. At the end of the season, it was gifted by McLaren to engine supplier Honda, in exchange of a fully functional twin-turbo V6 for one of McLaren's own cars. Retained by Honda, chassis 5 is usually on display in the Honda Collection Hall. At a rare outing, it is seen here at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed where it was driven by Honda SuperGT driver Takuya Izawa.
