Chassis:
The first of the two all-new TRI61s built, this car was driven to a debut victory at the 1961 Sebring 12 Hours by Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien. Entered by Luigi Chinetti, it failed to finish at Le Mans because of a blown engine. It was then sold to Count Giovanni Volpi for his Scuderia Serenissima. He continued to field the car for several more seasons, and with the help of Carlo Chiti also made further modifications to the car. In 1962, Joakim Bonnier and Lucien Bianchi added a second Sebring win to the car's tally. Following its competitive racing career, it was converted for road use and regularly driven by Count Volpi. The current owner acquired the car in 1985 and it has since been completely restored to its original configuration. At a very rare outing, it is seen here at Pebble Beach in 2014, where the Testa Rossa was one of the featured cars.
