Chassis:
Sold new to Finland, this 250 TR debuted at the 1958 Helsinki Grand Prix, finished in dark blue with white stripes. Driven by Curt Lincoln, it finished third overall at its debut. Lincoln raced the car all over Europe before returning the car to Ferrari for an overhaul at the end of the year. Chassis 0742TR was then sold to Switzerland where it was briefly raced until the car was heavily damaged at a hill climb in October of 1960. Georges Gachnang acquired the remains and rebuilt the car to TR61 specifications. In this guise, it was raced into the 1962 season but with limited success. In 1967, the heavily modified 250 TR was bought by Pierre Bardinon, who had chassis 0742TR restored by Fantuzzi during the early 1970s. The French collector sold the car a decade later and among the subsequent owners was Peter Glaesel, who also raced the car in historic events. The current custodians acquired the 250 TR in 2009.
