Chassis:
Completed in May of 1960, this Tipo 60 Birdcage was sold to Comm. Luigi Bellucci from Naples, Italy. He fielded the car in hill climbs for specialist Mennato Boffa. A highly successful season, saw Boffa win the Italian under two-litre championship and place third in the very competitive European Championship. Boffa would go on to race the car through to end of the 1961 season. Its successive Italian owners raced chassis 2465 in contemporary events until the mid-1960s. Among the subsequent owners were American collectors like Joel Finn and Chris Cord. It was also owned for several years by Peter Kaus and displayed in his Rosso Bianco museum. The current, American owner acquired the two-litre Birdcage and it has since been regularly raced in historic events.
