Pictured is one of the 242 alloy bodied XK120s produced between 1948 and 1950. It was delivered new to the United States early in 1950. Never raced, it remained in North America until the late 1960s when it was purchased by a French collector. After being displayed in the Jaguar Monthelery museum for many years, it was bought by another caring owner in 1996. He had the car completely restored before offering it at the 2006 Christie's Retromobile auction where it is pictured. The rare Jaguar changed hands for just under EUR 200,000.
