Chassis:
One of the rare DV-32s, this example was at one time owned by noted Stutz collector William A. 'Bill' Johnson. At the time, he also owned a Bearcat Speedster with a quickly deteriorating body. Johnson commissioned the construction of a new body for the Bearcat and had a further two bodies built along the same lines. One of these spares was fitted to this Stutz chassis shortly after. Among the subsequent owners of this Speedster was prominent American collector William G. Lassiter, who extensively used the car. The current custodian acquired it in 2004 and has had it restored from the ground up. Like all of the cars in his fine collection, it is regularly exercised on the road.
