Chassis:
A works racer, this 550A RS Spyder was completed in time for the 1957 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Unfortunately, ignition failure ended the charge early for this car. It continued to be campaigned by the factory Porsche team around Europe by all of the major drivers well into the 1958 season. It later spent many years in French ownership and made rare appearances at the 2008 Le Mans Classic and 2012 Retromobile Show.
