Chassis:
The second car of the third series, this Austin Healey 100S was sold new to gentleman racer John Dalton. It was campaigned in period in 49 races all over the British isles, claiming 30 podium finishes and 14 outright victories. Dalton raced the car between 1955 and 1958, and it was subsequently fielded by second owner W.A. Thompson. Subsequent owners fielded the 100S well into the 1960s in club events. Between 1965 and 2002, it was owned by Arthur Carter. It has since been regularly used in historic events including the Le Mans Classic and the Goodwood Revival.
