Chassis:
Originally fitted with the Alfa Romeo V8 engine, this is the sixth and final March 711 built. Peterson used it once with the Alfa V8 but failed to reach the finish. Fitted with a latest specification Cosworth DFV, it turned out to be much more competitive. Peterson finished second in this car on three occasions and also placed third once, which proved instrumental in him finishing runner up to Jackie Stewart in the World Championship. Following a final outing in a non-championship event at Brands Hatch, chassis 711-6 was retired from contemporary racing. In more recent years, the car was owned and campaigned by prominent British historic racer Robs Lamplough.
