Chassis:
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the late Gianni Agnelli taking the helm at the Fiat Group, Ferrari and Pininfarina created a one-off Testarossa Spider. Delivered to Agnelli in June of 1986, it was finished in silver with a subtle blue line around the cockpit and the sills. Although clearly intended as a roadster, the Testarossa Spider did feature a rudimentary, fold-away canvas roof to provide weather protection. It was also fitted with a special button-operated clutch to make driving easier for Agnelli, who still suffered problems with his left leg after a road accident back in 1952. Agnelli retained the car through to November of 1991 when he sold it to a close friend in France. The second owner would cherish the car for nearly 25 years before consigning it to the 2016 Artcurial Retromobile sale. At that time, it had covered just 23,000 km and had just benefited from a comprehensive service. It was acquired by a noted British Ferrari collector, who promptly showed it at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.
