Chassis:
Completed late in 1959, chassis 0784 was the final front engined 'Dino' built. Fitted with a 4-cam engine, it was raced to second in the 1960 Targa Florio by Phil Hill and Wolfgang von Trips. In 1961 it was sold to Luigi Chinetti for his North American Racing Team (NART) and rebodied with a more aerodynamically advanced 'High-Tail' body. NART entered the car for the likes of Ed Hugus and the Rodriguez brothers but no notable results were scored. Chassis 0784 was eventually sold on to Pierre Bardinon and remained in his Mas du Clos collection for many years. More recently it has been acquired by an England based collector, who has successfully campaigned ever since. It is seen here at a wide variety events, including the 2009 Goodwood Revival where it was driven to victory in the one-hour endurance race by Nicky Leventis and Bobby Verdon-Roe.
