Chassis:
Chassis 57592 is very late Bugatti Type 57 S. Completed in February of 1938, it was the very last of its type to be fitted by the factory with an Atalante style coupe body. It was delivered new to a Dr Stott in London, England. Except for two brief spells in France and the United States, chassis 57592 spent all its life in English ownership. Most other low chassis Type 57s were later retrofitted with a supercharger but this example remained naturally aspirated. Beautifully restored, it was entered by the current owner in the 2009 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este where it was awarded the 'Trofeo Auto & Design' for the most exciting design.
