Chassis:
Featured is chassis 1120, one of the five 4CM 1100s constructed in 1932. In 1934 this car was modified for Furmanik's record attempts. Two years later the four-cylinder racer was back at the Works for further updates; now to full 4CM 1500 spec for Luigi Rovere. He fitted the car with a striking radiator cover and scored numerous wins with the Maserati. Still in 4CM 1500 spec, the car was raced spectacularly with a lot of success by Martin Stretton for its owner. For several years, it was the fastest pre-War racing car being campaigned.
Recently the car changed hands and is now driven by its new owner complete with a matching helmet. Although he is not quite as quick in it as Stretton, he did manage to clinch a third place in the Goodwood Trophy during the 2007 Goodwood Revival meeting.
