Chassis:
It is believed that fifteen Model Gs were equipped with the Four-Passenger Speedster style body that raced at Le Mans. Each of them differed in detail, but all received the 'Le Mans' nickname to celebrate duPont's racing ventures. Today only three have survived, including the featured car, which, like so many other Model Gs, is owned by a member of the duPont family. After benifitting from a full restoration by RM, it received a 'Best in Class' at Pebble Beach in 2007. A few months later one of the other two Four-Passenger Speedsters was auctioned for an impressive $704,000.
