Chassis:
The second 250 TR59, chassis 0768TR also finished second at the type's debut behind a sister car. It was only used twice by the works team again with a third at the Nÿrburgring as the best result. It was then sold to the United States where it was raced with considerable success by Phil Hill, winning at Riverside and Nassau in the final months of 1959. Early in the following year the TR59 was acquired by Jack Nethercutt, who campaigned the car extensively. One of the most notable results was a third overall and first in class at Sebring with Pete Lovely as co-driver. In 1961 the car changed hands once more and it was used in some SCCA races by Jerry Grant, who won with the car as late as 1962.
Following its contemporary racing career, the ex-works Testa Rossa eventually ended up in the hands of Pete Lovely. During the 1970s, he restored the car and prepared it for historic racing. He campaigned it predominantly during the Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca. In 1997 he sold the car to its current owner, who has continued Lovely fantastic tradition and regularly races it at Laguna Seca. In 2009 chassis 0768TR was part of the unique gathering of all four surviving 250 TR59s during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
