Bagas makes some stupid comments sometimes but the one about Ford and Holden Australia getting off their arses and exporting to give something back to the US is a new high point for him. GM and Ford are multinational companies who answer to their shareholders. Their subsidiaries in other countries including Australia, Europe and Asia answer to them. Do you think Ford Oz, Holden, SAAB, Jaguar etc have the complete autonomy to spend millions of their parent companies dollars going off designing what they like. They develop as few platforms as possible with enough flexibility to provide a base for a range of models around the world. They share their engines accross a range of cars ie SAAB & Vectra. Our industry probably does more than any other comparatively sized industry anywhere in the world. Holden are exporting the Monaro back to the US as a GTO. Mitsubishi build and export Magnas as Diamantes to the US. There are not many other countries with the population of Australia that have the level of input into their domestic automotive designs that we do. Our shitty dollar helps but so did the fact that tarrifs were reduced some years back resulting in a more efficient industry. But Holden and Ford Australia will never build a totally original designed car that does not include some input from the parent company or another of their subsidiaries.
My favorite car in the world!!!!

This car is the true American Muscle Car! I currently own one of these stallions, and let me say, it is a blast! Once you set the shift into 3rd gear, watch out! Hey, why buy a 360 Spider for $250,000 when you can outrun it with this baby, adn for only $35,000. This is my favorite car in the world, and it is truly America's car.

This Car is amazing, I have had the oportunity to ride in one and I must say Im a big fan of japanese cars and never really liked american domestics but ford hit the nail right on the head with this car. Its aesthetically pleasing as well as having a very good engine. This car gives me some hope of liking american cars cause i like this one alot. Good Job ford keep up the good work.

Like I said in my comments on the Ford BA V8 Supercar, don't take anything away from Ford USA. They have a long heritage of successful cars, where Ford Australia only make 1 car. Ford Australia (and Holden especially) take a lot from their parent companies and others owned by them. The only Fords we have here (apart from Falcon/Fairlane [and early Capri]) are rebadged Mazdas, Euro and a few American Fords. Holden are even worse. Their one car is based on an Opel and uses an engine from 1989! And the Monaro and whatever else is based on this car, which relates to the above. And don't forget about the other Holdens!!! It's about time Ford and Holden exported (so they can give a bit back to other Ford/GM companies from whom they've been taking from so long) and maybe if they could get off their a**es and design something totally themselves that would be good too.
 Almost there...

Mustangs are very good cars, however, they just don't match up to the cars made by Ford Australia and Holden. finally this mustang has come close, with 290kW, but at least 40 kW more is needed for the mustang to become a car with proper muscle.

oh man, i have been a mustang freak for years and now i finally have something to feel excited about. i cant wait to see all the bow tie fans cry when they were just smoked by a stang with 390 hp and equal torque to boot. i love this car and for 35 grand, this is your best option for fun and bang for your buck, Camaro and Corvette be afraid be very afraid.
