 Very Underrated

I am now have my 3rd AMG CLK, first was the AMG 430 then the AMG 55 and now the current model(2005) next will be the New 63.
The AMG CLK 55 is one of the most underrated cars in today's market,a great all rounder, style and looks that's not OTT and totally acceptable any where.
Performance that will always surprise and that ability to travel long distance at high speed with no compromise and most amazingly a fuel economy that can be often surprise, I have seen 26 to 30 miles to the gallon (Imperial) regularly, not bad for a big performance V8 engine.
Having now driven these AMG CLK,s for more than 200,000 miles, I still find it can excel, they are not a modified saloon, more a very well thought out performance car that's completely underrated, 3 years ago I managed to drive 970 miles in a day at an average of 74 mph ( in Germany) enjoying every mile...
Well done MB, this car combines the excellence of this marque, plus quality and design with many features that gives the maximum of safety at all times.

breistul100 you have no idea. Benz have years of experience and even today have the ability to create a near flaw-less car. As demonstrated by the CLK 55 AMG. It combines style and performance in to one hell of an amazing car. I live in Australia and everyone who knows this car knows its an absolute gem. Congrats Benz and AMG for a job subperbly done!

breistul100, are you crazy? My dad has this car in cabrio version and I'll tell you, it is one of the nicest cars we have. We sort of collect cars, and this car compares with the Corvette C5 we have. It has sooooo much power that i NEVER thought it would have. I was mad at my dad for a while for buying it for 85,000...but it was well worth it after I drove in it.
Clumsy car this. Were are the designers at MB???

MB has lost it's touch when it comes to design and quality, before it was like a tank, now engines and gearboxes flies around, especially on the 1999 and 2000 models. Would not have bought a new MB today. Too much flaws on new cars. Taxi class E series are just trouble, taxi drivers say and dont recommend it, should that not be a warning light.? Would take BMW today. So when do we get the MB quality back, also internally there have been questions about this, see www.mbspy.com. All about new MB comming. All MB are now alike more or less, the same ground lines all over, so the fantasy of the designers are gone,as for Ferrari, you make a car and slam the MB badge on it, the 2005 MB S - Class does move, but not enough.
