Not a worthy oponent... |

If my memory serves me correctly, Motor magazine did a comparo between the Jaguar XKR and the Maserati Cambiacorsa, and guess what, the Maser not only is faster to 100km/ph i think thats about 60-61m/ph, but also at the quarter mile. Also, on top of the AU $215 000 price tag, there is a options list AU $66 000 options list. One thing i noticed is you can pay AU $9800 for 20 inch rims on the jag. what does it matter how big the wheels your driving on are? Also , the motor crew enjoyed the maserati more than the Jag.The jag may have a better fuel consumption, but really, go the maserati. You see, i live in Australia, so we have kilowats and kilometres, not miles and bhp. I do realise the jaguar XKR is a magnificant car, but also at motors annual PCOTY, (Performance CAR OF THE YEAR) where they took 22 cars and pitted them head to head against each other. And guess what? the XKR came 22nd out of 22 cars, it was beaten by the BMW X5 4.6, one of the not so sporty cars in the known world.Kinda makes you wonder, why not go the maser instead?? |

Powerful, Beautiful, Prestige, Luxury. This is a fine effort from Jaguar. Glad they didn't spoil the looks of the very elegant XKR. |
Luxury meets sport |

This British baby is a junction between rich snobs and professional atheletes. It has a very powerful engine, dashing good looks, and a good performance rating. With a 0-60 speed of 5.3, and a 390 bhp engine, i would take this car for me and my super model wife anyday.( if i had the money, and the wife). |

"This car is my all time favourite. The combination of Jag's style & class witk the power makes it one of the nicest cars in the world. With its leather interior(which should be black in the XKR end beige in the XK8) looks magnificent. Did you know that the badge on its nose has ""supercharged"" written on it, well as the XK8 has a badge that says 4.2L V8. Ins't that cool? If u add this car with the R-Performance package it takes on a whole style, shifting more to its sporty side, though keeping its elegance. In this R-performance package you get 20"" wheels(in a gold/bronze colour, which suits this cat), also u get -huge- Brembo brakes, and a so called 'handling package' which improves its roadholding and grip. Then take a black/anthracite XKR with the complete R-Performance package and u got the best car in the world. Beter then any ferrari or maserati or bentley or mercedes or BMW. and it will cost u less then their supercars(and they dont have the style this thing has.) The only cars that are equal as good as this one are the Spyker's (Spyder and Laviolette) and thats the truth!!""" |

The most beautiful modern Jaguar, I agree, a classic already. It's lines are pure, unaltered and just fantastic. The best thing about the XKR is that the beauty is not only skin deap, it runs through to chassis dynamics and that fantastic new 4.2 Supercharged engine that now produces a healthy 400bhp - A nice lift from 370bhp which it's predecessor had. A fantastic car with fantastic credentials. Excellent! |
BEAUTIFUL&POWERFUL!!! |

Most beautiful, but not the most powerful in its category. This beauty is enough to win the customers tastes! |
... a classic already |

Jaguar XKR is one of those cars that last through the years without major interior and exterior changes. And this 400hp engine targets serious players like Mercedes SL or even BMW Z8. I am curious what will come after XKR. |
Absolutely Stunning! |

The Jaguar XK couple is gorgeous, but the XKR is one of the most beatiful cars I've ever seen. It appears muscular, confident, as well as sleek and sexy. This Jag just keeps getting more and more beautiful. |
