 TVR T350 is superb

The guy that believes TVR's are not real sports cars and cannot be compared to the likes of Porsche, Lamborghini etc is on another planet.

I have owned almost every sports car going, including, Aston DB9 and DBS, Porsche 911 Turbo, Lambo Gallardo E-gear and manual, Ferrari 360, Bentley Continental GT along with a 4.5 Cerbera, Tuscan Speed 6 and a TVR T350C.

When you buy cars like those mentioned you very quickly realise that the Bentleys, Lambo's, Ferraris and Astons are built to a very poor standard. The Ferrari paddle shift gearbox is unbelievably bad as is the one in the Lambo. TVR's do have their faults but certainly no more than the others cars mentioned here.

What TVR does have is raw, ballistic attraction, incredible soundtrack and at the moment a sense of true britishness coupled with true custom trim which you don't get in any of the above "supercars".

So much so that I have just traded my Bentley Conti GT and Ferrari 360 in and bought another T350C. You just can't get the same feeling driving a Ferrari or anything like that.

Get on this planet mate.

In my opinion, this is the last of the really great modern era TVRs. The Sagaris was made to be a softer, friendlier car, but this car is nuts. TVR says it's softer and comfier, but it's loud, tricky to handle, and oh so sweet. Long live the Russian 2 seater.

"reading the recent comments I can only assume you have never owned TVR's. I have and would never own another one. the simple reason being that there is inadequate dealer support, a flimsy warrnty and even a ""bob the builder"" build quality. Sure, the cars are fast but the claimed top speeds are utter garbage. I have read very few road test at the high side of 150mph because the simple truth is that parts fall off when the car is pushed. If you have lots and i mean lots of cash and dont mind the car being in the garage on a monthly basis then fine, buy one. I don't think you can make any logical comparison to other more expensive super cars. TVRs may look/sound great but are cheap cars period. Furthermore, the person who commented on the Speed12 being an alternative to the Bugatti is talking nonsense. TVR couldn't build it with any form of reliability and test drivers said it was undriveable. How would you feel if you shelled out AUD 120k on a car that needed 3 new engines in 12 months?!?"

There is more to being a sports car than having two doors, and not all cars with two doors and more than 100bhp are sports cars. People reference bentley and the like. Those are not sports cars, those are GTs. Grand Tourers. Luxury cars with sports car-like power and handling. Even cars like M3s are not true sports cars, being Sports Coupes. More than 2 seats, and more than the bare minimum acceptable weight, again with sports car emulating qualities. Sometimes these overlapping qualities confuse people as to what a sports car really is. Rest assured, a TVR, Especially the Tamora/T350, and Tuscan/T440 series are the spot on epitome of sports cars. others have mentioned Lotus and Caterham, good company indeed. Also Porsche GT3, and Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, at more than twice the price. Take a long hard look at a TVR, and see the marriage of body to machine, no buffer-layers like heated seats, or power-second-guessing traction-super-grip devices. pure visceral experience with pure art-form design. These are not grocery getters, or cross-continental luxo-cruisers. The T350 in particular, it's fast-back profile and Kamm tail are purposefull, in that they are actually aerodynamically-functional shapes. no stick-on plastic wings here, none needed. The engine is a technological tour-de-force, especially from a small company. The venturis in the front for the cooling system are ingenious, and look at those wheels. I have yet to find better looking examples anywhere. The only two suggestions I can make, is to slim down the frontal area of the side mirrors, they look too square on such an organic shape, and to leave the roof blacked-out natural carbon fiber, Just clear coated. It would give it a canopy look, and hide a bit of the visual thickness of the roof. A spot-on definition of a pure sports car. With a british accent. I really wish the imported to the US, but our gov't requires airbags, and excessive smog equipment, and higher bumper height, which would noticeably dull such a sharp car.
Why TVR won't listen to Motorhead

"Heated seats and climate control are not for cars of this ilk. If you have ever sat in any TVR after the Cerbera you will understand why. Peter Wheeler has not fitted traction control or anti lock brakes because they take away from driver enjoyment and skill. It also keeps the car light. On a slightly coarser note I don't know of many car seat heaters that could shift the amount of perspiration created by driving this car anywhere near it's limit. I hope Wheeler sticks to his guns. He has a core of car nuts who want none of the added rubbish, some of which actually really like his cars interiors . . . but then they are ""thin"" enough to sit in them obviously :)"
Dont compare TVR's with cars that aren't in the same price l

TVR, i think above all, represents good honest value for money especially in the bang-for-buck stakes. The core essence of TVR is to deliver a lightweight car with a stonking engine in front of you and for (comparatively) little dosh. 1st of all, you can get climate control for all TVR's either as standard or as a factory option. 2nd, TVR's don't have heated seats, because they are not made for our grandpas, but for us that don't need to keep our bladders warm so that we dont piss in our pants. Adding these things add weight and that is not the TVR way. Motorhead is the type of limp cock that Pter Wheeler doesn't want buying his car (although if Motorhead was given a shotgun ride in any TVR, i'm sure he wouldn't turn back). 3rd, the Cerbera Speed 12 had it gone on sale would have been 10, count it, 10 times cheaper than the Veyron (4 drove past my house in convoy doing heat testing) And 4th, the Veyron is a LUXURY GT. Not a bonkers stripped out machine like the ones you compare it to. Different intent, similar results. Oz
 not as retro

The T350C is a really good new TVR it is not as good looking as the Tamora but thats because of the aerodynamics. Is not as retro as the other TVRs are but is still is a lovely new addition to the TVR family find more TVR

but should they at least do something or add something nice to the interior like heated seats or climate control. There is one TVR which can compete with the veyron, the cerbera speed 12. This car really looks very weird compared to other TVRs. I think nowdays other spotscar companies have to learn something from VW and Bugatti on how to put together a proper sportscar!

motorhead u gotta realise that with sports cars you gotta make compremises,i know the interior is cramped but for me thats what makes a sports car a sports car!!!!mostly all sports cars that are raw and pure like this beauty have cramped interiors caterhams, lotus's and westfields to name a few all have forsaken comfort to give a down to earth and pure driving experiance, but thats the point!!,people who usually buy sports cars like do so not jus for the looks but also for the thrill of the drive! People who want a car thats fast and comfertable usually go for GTs or coupes And besides TVRs hav gorgeous interiors, i love the way the dash is laid out,its doesnt look as cheap and tacky like a corvettes,it has quality leather hides and and the facia doesnt have a cheapo plastic feel to it, like most cars in the same league! Oh and before u start comparing it to your beloved veyron, i must point out that they are not in the same league, like you sed the veyron is a super luxury car. but compared to a MX-5 or a boxter the interior is so much more enchanting , as soon as you sit inside it you feel like part of the car, as if you and the car are one being, its one of the most snug cockpits ive eva been in. You say this car is cramped like a prison , i say its comfey and for the price its more that worth it

is a bit funny. If you look carefully at the back of the car it really is very ugly compared to other TVRs. I think the most beautiful tvr is the cerbera 4.5. This is good but looks very funny compared to the others. One thing about TVR which most other sportscar companies don't is its pricing. It is downright affordable for its power and refinement. The interior of TVRs feel as though you are in a prson cell so maybe TVR could act on that!
 Brilliant!

I truly think this is a great car! Not just this but the other Tuscans aswell. It has brilliant handling performance wise. The engine is the best in terms of what it sounds like, it looks beautiful and unique and the price? Well around 30,000 this is one excellent car!
Does it look better than Tamora?

I think so, and the hard top will do wonders for body ridigity and aerodynamics, it's undeniably my pick for Best in Show at the 2002 British auto show! just beautiful, and pure and elegant, hopefully used as a prop for the next james bond, going by slinky british sports cars!
