i have been driving this superb FQ-300 engine for two weeks now. i just can't believe that the damn engine can boast 305hp! i want to beat the 4.9 sec, 0-62mph but i only managed to get as close as 5 seconds flat. this revolutionary engine of the evo VIII is really the future of the state of the art technologies. once again, mitsubishi has done it again. one more thing. it has been a week already but still, no one has challenged me for a drag racing.
 A Mitsu with 300!

The Evo VIII will hopefully hit American shores shortly after the first Evo hit Ameirca, with 271hp. Don't worry though Mitsubishi, no American in their right mind would reject the extra 30hp. By the way, thanks for sending the newest Evo to America in the first place.
 Wonderful japanese work!!

This is a masterpiece of japanese engineering. The 300bhp is more than enough to make this a magnificent rally sportscar for any terrein. I wouldn't touch one single thing on this car. Well balanced and fantastic driving ambitions. Only thing is the wing, i like the evo6 tme much better.
The Suby is still going to stomp it.

I have had the extreme pleasure of racing the evo VII and I can not give it enough praise, but the VIII is not the VII and the Subaru STI is going to stomp all over it. Sorry Mitsi fans.

They made another monster...I really think that the 0-60 times can b much lower with a talented driver & the appropriate conditions...once I saw an EVO VI who could go in 4.8sec & it was stock except a K&N air filter & new alloys....impressive work by Mitsubishi once again...

"first this moidel had 276, but now Mitshubishi has gone even further with boosting it up to 300 hp. It is obvious that Mitsubishi has one of the best sports cars, cars for pleasure and fun. this car however holds a time record on a testing course for German ""Auto Bild""."
